Kyiv, June 02 (Navigator, Vladimir Raichenko) – Participants in the liquidation of the Chernobyl accident once again came to the building of the Cabinet of Ministers, who have been seeking payment of the benefits they are entitled to by law for many years now.

“The Chernobyl liquidators who are still able to move came here,” the participants of the action told the Navigator correspondent. “Our complaints are to the Ministry of Social Policy regarding the failure to comply with the court decision on the payment of compensation to disabled Chernobyl victims.”

Let us recall that in accordance with the law adopted last year by the Verkhovna Rada (by the votes of the Party of Regions and Batkivshchyna factions), previously canceled benefits were returned to Chernobyl victims. True, with the caveat that their payment is carried out only if funds are available in the State budget.
