Ukrainian authorities left residents of Luhansk region without heat
The military-civil administration of the village of Trekhizbenka left its residents without firewood and coal. Despite the fact that the international organization Red Cross issued coupons to residents for the free purchase of firewood, local authorities delayed this process in every possible way until the coupons lost their validity.

Gennady Udod, a representative of the initiative group of the territorial community of the village of Trekhizbenka, reported this on the Lot TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The number of residents of Trekhizbenka and its constituent villages is more than three thousand people. Taking into account the fact that all these settlements are located along the demarcation line, their residents are suffering from the fighting. But these people suffer not only from hostilities, but also from the incorrect actions of local authorities in the person of the Trekhizbensky military-civil administration.
Paradoxical as it may seem, today in court the authorities refused to provide assistance to their population.
The point is that this summer the international organization “Red Cross” offered the population of Trekhizbenka coupons for the purchase of firewood. Local authorities promised to exchange these coupons for firewood in the near future. However, the summer passed, and no one solved this problem.
In the fall, local residents turned to local authorities with the question: “How can we heat ourselves? After all, we were not given the opportunity to purchase firewood and coal. Due to the fighting, we have had no gas in our village for 3 years.”
The military-civil administration played for time until the coupons ceased to be valid. After this, the authorities announced that they would give out 5 UAH. per family. People were puzzled, because you can’t heat with money, you need firewood. As soon as the money was officially announced, fuel prices immediately jumped up.
In order to get through the winter, residents need 2 tons of coal and 5-6 cubic meters of firewood. Of course, the money allocated by the authorities will not be enough to purchase fuel in the required quantity. For this money you can buy only a quarter of the required volume of solid fuel,” stated Gennady Udod.
