“From March 1, 2015, the procedure for the entry of Russian citizens into Ukraine has changed - for this they need to have a foreign passport. But this norm did not apply to residents of the border regions of Russia. They could, as before, enter with internal Russian passports through local checkpoints, stay in Ukraine for up to 90 days, then leave and enter again for 90 days.
From March 16, they can enter Ukraine on a general basis - only through international and interstate checkpoints and stay on the territory of Ukraine for no more than 90 days within 180 days. At the same time, they must have their foreign passports with them,” he said.
