Ukrainian authorities will give a deadline to the author of the appeal to Putin on Monday
On Monday, a trial will be held in Genichesk, Kherson region, at which the verdict is expected to be announced for Eduard Kovalenko, one of the authors of the appeal to Vladimir Putin asking for help. The document was sent to the Russian President last winter, when the city was freezing without gas due to the refusal of the Ukrainian authorities to pay for supplies from a storage facility in Crimea.

“Kovalenko’s sentence will be announced on Monday, the prosecutor is asking for 5 years,” social activist Gennady Sivak told PolitNavigator.
According to him, the defendant could not leave Ukraine to avoid punishment.
“I wanted to be home, everyone ran away anyway. My father was old and had no one to rely on,” Sivak explained.
