But the Navy itself today does not have a single anti-ship missile system, we do not have a single missile that can effectively destroy ships, we do not have a single modern anti-aircraft missile system. The only "Wasp" from the 70s on the "Sagaidachny" is also not combat-ready and, in fact, the Navy's flagship is also not combat-ready - just yesterday it came to Nikolaev for repairs on the "Nibullon" with unclear prospects for restoration.
There are no hydroacoustics, no modern shipborne radar stations, no missile defense system. Those forces and means that exist, they can carry out some extremely limited tasks in a period of peace or in a period of threats, or together with partners. Unfortunately, we don’t have the potential to do it on our own at sea,” Chmut said.
