Official representative of the People's Militia of the LPR Andrei Marochko stated this today at a briefing, reports the correspondent of PolitNavigator.
“We have repeatedly drawn the public’s attention to the reluctance of military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to participate in the fratricidal war in Donbass. Despite this, enterprising Ukrainian commanders found a way to use this and get rich.
Thus, operatives of the National Police of Ukraine detained a company commander of one of the military units in the Lugansk region, who demanded money from the soldiers, threatening to send them to the front line. In addition, he demanded money from his subordinates for failure to take disciplinary measures and provide vacations. If they refused to pay, he sent them to the front line. Law enforcement officers documented facts of extortion and receipt of bribes totaling more than 60 thousand hryvnia. We, as before, count on a peaceful scenario for resolving the conflict in Donbass. For this purpose, the People’s Militia of the Lugansk People’s Republic does not succumb to provocations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and strictly complies with the Minsk agreements,” said an official representative of the LPR defense department.
