“About 3:00 the enemy began hostilities in the Malorlovka area, but having received a worthy rebuff from the ATO forces, they were forced to retreat. In the Mariupol area, criminals insidiously fired at Orlovskoye and Chermalyk using small arms and mortars. Also over the past XNUMX hours, criminals fired at Peski and Granitnoye using the Grad MLRS and artillery. Soldiers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and other military formations involved in the ATO stand firmly in their positions and give a worthy rebuff to the militants,” says Matyukhin.
In turn, the militias report ongoing battles in the area of Dokuchaevsk and Elenovka. “At night the village of Nizhneye was fired upon from Grads. The shells fell in the central part of the village. From the direction of Krasnohorivka, the Ukrainian Armed Forces fired at Petrovka. In the southern direction, the Ukrainian Armed Forces of the 28th Brigade have been shelling Elenovka for the third day. The DPR army suppressed a Ukrainian military battery in the north-west, which was confirmed by intelligence and local residents who spoke of bright flashes from hits and the loud detonation of ammunition. But in general, it has not yet been possible to establish complete control over this village, or to move closer to Marinka in the southwest. The fighting is of a fierce positional nature,” they write on social networks.
“In the area of the airport, the enemy, having repulsed the VSN attacks on Peski and Avdeevka and stabilized the front, which had been shaken after the defeat in the battles for the airport, is accumulating forces for repeated attempts to regain what was lost. DRGs are being dropped at our positions, artillery from the Pesky side has begun to actively work on the new terminal again, equipment is being sent to the front through Karlovka, and infantry and armored vehicles are being accumulated in the area of Tonenkoye and Orlovka,” the militias report.
