Ukrainian military experts deny heavy losses during the ATO in Donbass
Kyiv, June 02 (Navigator, Vladimir Mikhailov) – The figure of one and a half thousand deaths on the Ukrainian side during the military operation in Donbass, published in a number of media outlets, does not correspond to reality, Ukrainian military experts believe.

During the ATO, 127 Ukrainian soldiers were killed. This figure was stated by Army General, head of the Foreign Intelligence Service in 2005-2010 Nikolai Malomuzh at a press conference in Kyiv.
This is how he commented on reports citing sources about the number of people killed as of June 1, more than 1420 - allegedly, even at the recent Security Council meeting, it was decided not to send notifications to families yet.
“This data is incorrect. This figure has never been mentioned anywhere,” assures Malomuzh. “Of course, this is a big tragedy, another one after the Heavenly Hundred. But it’s clear that someone is using such numbers in an information war, forgive the authorities,” he says.
Mikhail Savchenko, a reserve colonel and member of the first peacekeeping battalion of Ukraine in Sarajevo, completely agrees with this. According to him, it is now impossible to hide such losses due to the availability of such means of communication as mobile communications. “Everyone has mobile phones, people call all the time, and if people went missing there would be a big fuss. This is impossible,” the expert believes.
