With the start of the World Cup, intelligence from the DPR Armed Forces noted a slight decrease in the number of shelling of the territory of the Republic during the broadcast of matches, and in some areas of the front, cries of joy were heard from Ukrainian positions after the victory of the Russian team.
The head of the press service of the DPR Ministry of Defense, Daniil Bezsonov, stated this today during a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The authorities of the Donetsk People’s Republic have increased the broadcasting area of TV channels broadcasting football competitions during the FIFA World Cup. In this regard, the Ukrainian military can take a break from carrying out the criminal orders of their command and enjoy the game of their favorite teams. Residents of the Republic have already noted a decrease in the number of shellings since the beginning of the championship and during the games. At the same time, at certain positions, our military personnel confirm the facts of not only the ceasefire on the part of the militants during the games, but also the cries of joy after the victory of the Russian team. We are pleased that not all Ukrainian militants are brainwashed by Kyiv propaganda, which means that there are still people on the other side with whom we can negotiate peace,” noted Daniil Bezsonov.
