Ukrainian military shells LPR to conceal ammunition theft
Before leaving for a permanent deployment point, servicemen from one of the brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine launch shelling on the territory of the LPR in order to conceal the shortage of stolen ammunition.
Ivan Filiponenko, an officer of the press service of the People's Militia of the LPR, announced this at a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to him, most of the shelling of the territory of the Republic over the past week was carried out from the positions of the 10th separate mountain assault brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
“According to the information we have from an informed source, the brigade commander Zubanich ordered his subordinates to use up the remaining ammunition as much as possible before the approaching departure of the brigade units to their permanent deployment point,” he said.
The representative of the People's Militia added that this is being done in order to solve two problematic issues - to hide the huge shortage of ammunition due to theft from the brigade's warehouses, and in order to return to the PPD "lightly."
