Ukrainian soldiers blew up their own mine in the Lugansk region
Two servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were injured as a result of an explosion on their own mine.
This was reported by the press service of the People's Militia of the LPR, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The Defense Ministry of the Republic noted that facts of non-combat enemy losses are recorded almost daily.
“Another incident occurred in one of the units of the 54th separate mechanized brigade in the area of the village of Zolote. On April 10, as a result of an explosion on a mine-explosive device installed by military personnel of the same unit, two servicemen received shrapnel wounds,” the statement says.
The People's Militia of the LPR added that the brigade command hid the true causes of the incident from higher headquarters.
“According to the established tradition, the brigade commander, Colonel Alexey Maistrenko, presented these non-combat losses to the higher command as combat losses, allegedly received as a result of shelling from the LPR NM,” the department noted.
