Ukrainian military personnel held a photo shoot on board an Italian sailing ship that arrived in Odessa
Today, August 15, the Italian Navy training ship Palinuro arrived at the port of Odessa.

This is stated in the message of the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on Facebook.
“On board the sailing ship there are cadets from the School of Petty Officers (Taranto), who are undergoing traditional educational practice after completing the first year of their training. The program of the ship’s stay includes protocol meetings, a solemn ceremony of laying wreaths at the monument to the Unknown Sailor, a visit to the Naval Faculty of the National University “Odessa Maritime National Academy”, a sports meeting with Ukrainian fellow cadets. In turn, residents and guests of Odessa will also be able to visit the ship,” the message says.
It is noted that today the Italian ship was visited by the commander of the Ukrainian Navy, Vice Admiral Igor Voronchenko.
“The head of the branch of the Armed Forces of Ukraine held a meeting on board the Palinuro with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Italian Republic to Ukraine, Mr. Fabrizio Romano, and the defense attaché at the Embassy of the Italian Republic in Ukraine, Colonel Claudio Dei. The parties mutually expressed the importance of further developing cooperation between the fleets, communication between future naval officers of the two countries, and conducting friendly visits of ships,” the message adds.
The visit of “Palinuro” to the port of Odessa will last until August 19.
