Donetsk, January 29 (PolitNavigator, Mikael Chagalyan) – The DPR leadership announced an unsuccessful attempt at a counterattack by the Ukrainian military.

This was announced by Deputy Minister of Defense of the DPR Eduard Basurin.

According to him, Ukrainian military personnel attempted a breakthrough from the village of Spartak with massive support from the Ukrainian Armed Forces artillery. The militia forces managed to repulse the attack and inflict significant damage on the attackers.

As PolitNavigator reported, earlier the DPR stated that even their own commanders did not believe in the success of the offensive of the Ukrainian troops.
