Simferopol, March 01 (Navigator, Astra Yazyka) – In Crimea, all active military formations and units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, SBU, and State Emergency Service came under the control of the Council of Ministers of the Autonomous Region. “At the moment, there are no capable armed forces of Ukraine, which are subordinate to Kyiv, on the territory of Crimea,” Temirgaliev said. “All military units are blocked, disarmed, and some went over to the side of the Crimeans and, under the Crimean flags, patrol and protect Crimea from armed provocations.”
Temirgaliev reported that this morning the acting The former head of the criminal investigation department, Lieutenant Colonel Sergei Abisov, was appointed head of the Crimean police. All city and district police units came under his control; now the police are the guarantor that “there will be no looting or lawlessness on the part of self-defense units.”
“The SBU and its special forces have come under the control of the Council of Ministers and are subordinate to the Crimeans. The units of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the autonomy are also reassigned to the government of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea. Air defense units stationed in Crimea are also going over to the side of the Crimeans,” the Deputy Prime Minister said and added that this evening, units of the Crimean self-defense, together with units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, SBU and with the participation of units of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation, organized groups to patrol streets and objects in the cities of Crimea .
In the case of the troops of the Russian Federation, at the request of the Crimean Prime Minister Sergei Aksenov, an operational headquarters for interaction and coordination was created in the Council of Ministers.
“If this decision is implemented in practice, and the Russian military is in Crimea, I think we will have full coordination with the leadership and units of the Black Sea Fleet and Russian special units in the autonomy,” Temirgaliev concluded.
