“DPR militia units are holding positions along the entire line of contact,” said DPR Deputy Defense Minister Eduard Basurin, commenting to reporters on the situation around the “Debaltsevo cauldron.”
“The most difficult situation is in the Debaltseve direction. The Ukrainian Armed Forces conducted intense shelling of our positions, the militia did not counterattack, holding Uglegorsk and Kalinovka. Our units have blocked the outskirts of Debaltsevo,” he emphasized.
According to him, the Kyiv military recorded several unsuccessful attempts to escape from the blockaded city, but they were stopped by the militia.
