Speaker Alexander Turchynov announced this at a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada.

“Our armed forces units approached the village of Izvarino and actually completed the operation to block the border,” he said.
Turchynov reproached deputies, who often criticize the Ukrainian army, for “waging a heroic struggle to defend Ukraine.”
“I urge that there is no panic in our speeches, especially when our people’s deputies name the death toll, which is not confirmed,” the speaker said.
Previously, President Petro Poroshenko stated that restoring control over the Russian border is a condition for declaring a short-term truce.
