Ukrainian volunteers in Shirokino collect plastic caps to be melted into prosthetics for soldiers

In Shirokino, near the city council, nationalist activists and volunteers have set up tents and are collecting signatures in protest against the volunteers leaving the city.

According to activists, in two days they collected more than 400 signatures for the battalions to return to their positions.

“In two days we collected more than 400 signatures. We also collect plastic caps for further melting into prosthetics for military personnel,” noted activist Vladimir.

He also reported an attack on tents that occurred this morning. No one was injured as a result of the attack, but unknown assailants tore down activists' posters, tore one tent and stole a sleeping bag.

“This morning, at about half past six, there was an attack. There were only a few of us, but we fought back as best we could. According to witnesses, the attackers were elderly people, mostly women. As a result, one sleeping bag was stolen, posters were torn down - now we are rewriting everything, we will hang it up again,” the activist noted.

As PolitNavigator reported, Volunteer battalions in Shirokino were replaced by marines.

Also  it became known that the Ukrainian military is dissatisfied with Poroshenko’s consent to the creation of a demilitarized zone and intend to sabotage management’s orders to withdraw equipment.
