Ukrainian soldiers on the front line in Donbass went crazy: “Thank you” to Zelensky
Ukraine began to fire at the Donbass with redoubled ferocity after Vladimir Zelensky appointed the head of the Ilovaisk Operation, Ruslan Khomchak, to the post of head of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who in August-September 2014 was surrounded by DPR troops and, unlike many abandoned and killed privates, managed to get out of the “cauldron”.
One of the founders of the Donetsk People's Republic and ex-speaker of its parliament, Andrei Purgin, stated this on the air of the ATO Donetsk Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Purgin believes that Khomchak hates the people of Donetsk, which is why with his appointment to the post of Chief of the General Staff the situation on the front line has worsened.
“Now, as far as I understand, Zelensky has given the military a free hand on the contact line. Firstly, he put in command the person who led the punitive forces who entered Ilovaisk, who threw grenades into the basements where children, old people and women were sitting, and then for a very long time our people and our doctors and Emergencies Ministry took them out of there in pieces.
He led those punishers who later ended up in the so-called “Ilovaisk cauldron.” This man now heads the military. Zelensky acted like a weak president here. Perhaps there is a weakness here, perhaps a malicious or non-malicious action. But it turns out that Zelensky actually called on the military not to be shy and to respond to provocations, as he said. In fact, he gave them a free hand, installed a person who treats us at least dehumanized; for him, we are people who are not loyal and must be destroyed.
Therefore, today the situation on the contact line is hot. Moreover, in such a phase that no one understands what will happen in 15 minutes or tomorrow. If earlier it was clear that there was an escalation, because tomorrow there would be some round of Minsk negotiations or the preparation of the Normandy format, that is, it was timed to something, but today it all looks very unplanned, aggressive and incomprehensible.
In fact, there is a certain escalation, because there are no special brakes, and the military on the line of contact on the Ukrainian side makes decisions to use or not to use certain weapons and heavy equipment in an arbitrary order. The situation, frankly, has worsened for Zelensky and me,” Purgin said.
Thank you!
