According to the deputy, because of this, for the first time in Ukraine, mass protests of medical workers will take place.
“Literally on Tuesday, mass protests will begin. For the first time in the history of Ukraine, doctors will come out to protest en masse. This has been officially announced. Trade unions have been contacting the relevant ministry since the summer, I have been contacting the ministry since the beginning of the year - do you know what kind of salary arrears Ukrainian doctors have? About 100 million hryvnia. There is no industry where people are abused like this,” Bogomolets said.
At the same time, her committee colleague Irina Sysoenko corrected the chairman, naming a much larger amount of debt.
“The head of the committee does not know the amount of debt owed to doctors. Now the debt to medical employees is almost four billion hryvnia, and not one hundred million, as indicated,” Sysoeva clarified.
