Ukrainian universities excluded from the list of the best universities on the planet
Four Ukrainian universities have lost their positions and will be excluded from the world ranking of the best universities, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

This is stated on the official website of the Times World University Rankings of Higher Education.
It is reported that the National University "Lviv Polytechnic", the National Technical University of Ukraine "Kiev Polytechnic Institute named after Igor Sikorsky", Kiev National University named after Taras Shevchenko and Kharkiv National University named after V. N. Karazin may fall below 1000 places in the ranking next year. In total, 980 best universities from around the world participate in the ranking.
At the same time, the first position among the best universities in the world in 2016-2017 was taken, for the first time in the 12-year history of the ranking, by the University of Oxford, which is located in the UK.
It is worth noting that Ukrainian universities were below the 800th position in the 2016-2017 ranking. When compiling the ranking, the criteria of effectiveness of teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international outlook were taken into account.
