Early parliamentary elections and reformatting of the Ukrainian government will mean the defeat of European politicians who supported the Maidan.

Ruslan Bortnik, director of the Ukrainian Institute of Policy Analysis and Management, stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We must understand that European politicians, just like Ukrainian ones, are hostages of the policy that has been built towards Ukraine over the past three years. They invested their taxpayers' money here, they supported the Maidan, they supported Ukraine, the events that occurred after the Maidan in Ukraine. And if the country begins to unfold its political course or there is a reformatting, a change of power, when other people come, then for specific European politicians this will mean a significant political defeat. And it will be used by internal opponents,” the political scientist is sure.
“A recent example is that Trump used the ISIS situation against Obama very successfully. Merkel and other European politicians who were closely associated with the Ukrainian situation will experience the same crisis. That is why for them to allow reformatting in Ukraine means admitting their own foreign policy defeat, admitting the ineffectiveness of spending their taxpayers’ money. Therefore, they will not agree to this without serious pressure,” Bortnik believes.
