From August 10 to September 11 in Ukraine, the weighted average prices for eggs increased by 63,8% or by 6,98 UAH - to 17,92 UAH per 10 pieces.

This is stated in the data of the State Statistics Service, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The highest prices are observed in the Ternopil region - 19,38 UAH/10 pieces, and the lowest - in the Zaporozhye and Transcarpathian regions - 16,91 UAH/10 pieces.
“In the second half of the year, we expect an increase in price trends for chicken food eggs, since from February to September producers were forced to sell them at prices significantly below cost... The price situation this year was even worse than last year, selling prices in certain periods fell to 2014 levels. As we have repeatedly stated, the Ukrainian egg market is characterized by seasonal fluctuations, and starting from September, this factor fully begins to operate,” says Sergei Karpenko, head of the Poultry Farmers of Ukraine association.
