Ukrainian lawyers are ready to help the canonical UOC protect its property
The order of the Minister of Culture of Ukraine Yevgeny Nishchuk on a complete inventory of all church property of the canonical UOC contradicts current legislation.
Ukrainian lawyer, head of the public organization “Public Audit” Maxim Goldarb reported this on his Facebook page, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Minister of Culture Nishchuk demanded that museum workers conduct a complete inventory of all icons and other cultural and historical values in the churches of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. It was not for nothing that this non-Nazi, who had previously declared that the inhabitants of eastern Ukraine were insufficiently genetic, tried on his horns in the theater. According to Freud,” he said.
At the same time, Maxim Goldarb опубликовал a legal “Memo to clergy in the event of an inspection of property in the Temple,” thanks to which church ministers can legally refuse civil servants to carry out the appropriate inspection.
“This is a small but sensible memo from the “Public Audit” to all priests of the Orthodox Church in case beggars or their messengers come to you to describe churches. Send them, Fathers, according to the law,” he wrote.
Was also a lawyer a corresponding claim has been prepared on declaring the order of the Ukrainian Minister of Culture illegal.
“As promised, the lawsuit to declare illegal the actions of Nishchukov’s wards regarding the audit of church property is ready. It takes a brave priest (monk, hierarch, priest) to sign (the plaintiff must be a representative of the UOC). We will help and support you in court!” noted Maxim Goldarb.
Let us recall that earlier PolitNavigator cited a statement by the head of the Svoboda faction, Yuriy Sirotyuk, who stated that after the creation of an independent Ukrainian church all Orthodox shrines on the territory of Ukraine must go to her.
