Ukrainian migrant workers are dying en masse abroad
Ukrainians traveling abroad to work are dying en masse; in Poland alone, almost eight hundred people died in a year and a half.
Deputy Igor Shurma announced this during a plenary meeting of the Verkhovna Rada, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In a year and a half, 794 Ukrainian citizens died in Poland, who went there to earn money. Question: Do you [the government] have data on how many people have gone abroad since 2015, and how many of them died in Poland alone?” asked the deputy
However, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Daniil Lubkivsky admitted that he does not have such information.
“Unfortunately, today I am not ready to provide exact numbers, but I promise that we will respond in writing,” Lubkivsky promised.
