Ukrainian toad and viper bit each other
Battles broke out on social networks between the mayor of Dnepropetrovsk Boris Filatov and the odious nationalist writer Larisa Nitsa.
Thus, Filatov assured that the city authorities would not make a decision to ban Russian performers in the Dnieper, calling what was happening “Nitsoyevism.” The writer, in turn, threatened that the mayor would soon be “thrown into the trash heap”, but nationalism will remain, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“There will be no such decision. Firstly, it is impossible to execute. And, secondly, we are not at war with books and music. We fight for the freedom and happiness of our country. Everyone decides for themselves how to live, what books to read and what to listen to. Be a citizen or potential collaborator. There will be no Nitsoyevism in the Dnieper. Period,” said Filatov.
The writer listed manifestations that, in her opinion, can be attributed to “Nitsoiism.” Among other things, she used this word to describe the Ukrainization of kindergartens and schools, the service sector, posters, history, and so on.
“Are you sure that there will be no Nitsoyevism in the Dnieper? Sure? I wouldn’t really trust the forecasts of a temporarily elected official who is unable to master the basic language of the country in which he lives... It’s time to throw a Ukrainian-phobic and anti-state official who declares that all this will not happen in the Dnieper - it’s time to throw it in the trash. And sooner or later this will happen. Nitsoiism is irreversible,” Nitsoi wrote.
Previously on the website of the Dnieper city administration a draft decision was published, proposing to ban public listening to songs by Russian performers.
As reported "Reedus", The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine renamed the city of Dnepropetrovsk to Dnepr.
