The Association of Livestock Breeders of Ukraine (ALU) appealed to President Vladimir Zelensky regarding amendments to the Instructions for combating African swine fever to introduce a mechanism for processing meat from farms affected by ASF into stewed meat, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

Palamar clarified that today this practice is used in Poland.

“Another area that we want to implement within the framework of the FTA agreement is the export of our beef to the EU, which is quite competitive both in quality and price,” she noted.

Let us remind you that due to ASF, pork production volumes in Ukraine have decreased greatly over the past few years. And today the country imports the most pork from Poland.
