Ukrainian admiral threatened to shoot ships of the Russian Black Sea Fleet
In Ukraine they are threatening to shoot ships of the Black Sea Fleet and vessels of the Russian Border Guard Service if necessary.
The commander of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Igor Voronchenko, stated this in an interview with the BBC, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
At the same time, he immediately ruled out the possibility of a direct clash at sea, saying that this would be “the last step of the evil empire.”
“We assumed various scenarios for the development of events, and the most difficult one was the aggravation of the situation in the Azov and Black Seas, leading to landing operations... But I am sure that open aggression at sea will be the last step of the dying “evil empire” of the Russian Federation. They will not dare to do this... If there is any aggravation, we will use force. If they resort to severe destabilization, we will respond adequately - to accompany our ships, to be in those areas where fishing and other types of fishing are carried out,” Voronchenko threatened.
Previously Ukraine transported through the Kerch Strait, two ships that are part of the Navy, from the Black Sea to the Azov Sea.
