“We need to announce mobilization, we need to show the decisiveness of our actions... There are special operations forces, there are anti-terrorist operations, it can be carried out with precision, carried out thoughtfully... Yes, this is a game of nerves, it is not easy, but it must be done. Or will we surrender our land and allow it to be trampled under the boots of another state? You see, everything will not be limited to Crimea. Crimea is the creation of a strike force. This is a build-up,” he said.
“This is preparation for real aggression. Its goal is to create a belt, seize all the southern and eastern regions with the support of the separatists and turn Ukraine into an enclave with absolutely no geostrategic significance, without transit potential, shoved into the outskirts of the territory. We must understand this,” the admiral warned.
“The build-up is done every hour. Now there are about 30 thousand. To create a strike force in the Odessa and Kherson directions, a minimum of 35 thousand is needed,” he added.
“Lugansk, Donetsk, a 6-hour journey from Kyiv, groups have already been created. And we must say this clearly...Today the issue is critical,” Kabanenko concluded.
