Ukrainian admiral: Russia is critically increasing its influence in the Black Sea (VIDEO)
Kyiv, March 26 (PolitNavigator, Vladimir Mikhailov) – Russia’s military presence in Crimea is growing, and this means that Moscow is preparing to use its Armed Forces in the Black Sea region, says former Deputy Minister of Defense, Admiral of the Ukrainian Navy Igor Kabanenko.

“The grouping of Russian troops in Crimea has increased by an order of magnitude. The number of warships has increased significantly, and the construction of new ships is actively underway in Russian shipyards. Almost the entire ship's crew has been restored, and the budget of the Black Sea Fleet has been increased significantly. All landing ships have been restored, and preparations for amphibious landing forces together with the Marine Corps are actively underway.
All this indicates the creation of an offensive component. Money is not invested in defensive structures or the creation of defensive groupings of troops. Militarization is moving in the direction of an offensive grouping of troops on the territory of Crimea. At the same time, a number of their components can carry nuclear weapons: SU-24 bombers, ships that will now enter service, coastal troops, Iskander and Bastion complexes, which cover the entire Black Sea from Crimea,” says Igor Kabanenko.
Thus, the military balance in the Black Sea is changing in favor of Russia. And such a build-up of armed forces in 90% of cases means that they will be used, the expert believes. “Such forces are not created in order to stand idle, but in order to influence through strict support of policy,” the Ukrainian admiral believes.
