Ukrainian "Antonov" banned five planes of the Russian company "Volga-Dnepr" from flying.
The Podolsk District Court of Kyiv arrested and banned the operation of five An-124-100 civil transport aircraft of Volga-Dnepr Airlines (Russia), reports PolitNavigator correspondent.
This was reported by the press service of the law firm Ilyashev and Partners, which represents the interests of the Antonov enterprise.
Lawyers reported that the court seized the An-124-100 aircraft belonging to Volga-Dnepr Airlines (Russia) and Volga Dnepr Airlines (Ireland) with registration numbers RA-82068 (serial number No. 0703), RA-82078 (serial number 0710), RA-82045 (serial number 0609), RA-82046 (serial number 0610), RA-82077 (serial number 0709) and prohibited the airline and any other persons from operating them.
Airports are also prohibited from carrying out any actions aimed at landing/takeoff (receipt/departure) of these aircraft.
“In the opinion of the Antonov State Enterprise, the investigation and the court, the admission of the An-124 aircraft specified in the court’s ruling to further operation is a violation of the provisions of the Convention on International Civil Aviation and the ICAO Airworthiness Manual,” Roman, senior partner of the Ilyashev and Partners law firm, commented on the situation. Previously, law enforcement agencies of Ukraine, at the request of the Antonov State Enterprise, as the holder of the aircraft type certificate, began an investigation into the fact that Rosaviation certified AMTES GmbH as the developer of a modification of the An-124-100 aircraft and issued an Additional Type Certificate to replace the standard design “Airworthiness Support in Part confirmation of resource and service life."
