The Ukrainian artist boasted that, as luck would have it, Russia lost 80% of his earnings
Ukrainian artists do not have the right to perform in Russia - selling washing powder and other goods in the Russian Federation is another matter. The famous Ukrainian showman, producer Dmitry Chekalkin stated this on air at UkLife, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to him, he lost up to 80% of his earnings, abandoning the Russian market and corporate events for Gazprom and Sberbank.

“It’s one thing to sell some soap and washing powder, and another thing to make people laugh, as Ani Lorak does when she performs on Paratrooper’s Day on August 2nd. She performs in St. Petersburg and glorifies these paratroopers, who on these same days are killing our compatriots in the Donbass.
Back in the summer of 2014, I made a decision for myself that when this state is killing your compatriots, you cannot continue to amuse them... I have 70% of all income, my production studio was from Russia. Then there were budgets of 25-30 thousand dollars a month only for radio programs that we sold to Russia. Not to mention the corporate events that we held for Gazprom or Sberbank of Russia...
For us, in some periods it was 80% of all our earnings,” Chekalkin said.
