A Ukrainian battalion formed from criminals shot refugees traveling towards Russia
The Ukrainian Armed Forces completely destroyed Soviet reserves and long ago switched to Western-style ammunition.
RIA military correspondent Rostislav Zhuravlev stated this on the Rossiya 1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The situation in the Kharkov direction - everything related to the Seversky Donets River, this border area with the Belgorod region near Kharkov: Cossack Lopan, Stary Saltov - is tense. The Ukrainian Armed Forces are transferring more and more forces here. Literally before my eyes, a war crime occurred, it was Stary Saltov on the banks of the Donets, where on May 4 a column of refugees was shot, which was moving from Volchansk to Kharkov. People are moving across the line of combat contact in both directions - who has relatives where.
This column fell under the zone of action of the national battalions. These are units of the Azov and the Kraken battalion - this is a recently formed unit of amnestied criminals who were serving sentences for particularly serious crimes, but were released on promises to conduct punitive operations. They shot a convoy of 34 vehicles. It is known for sure that at least three people died, the bodies are on the other side. 13 people managed to get out in our direction, five of them were wounded children, there was a six-month-old child, her older sister, a 13-year-old girl, died. Ukrainian Nazis stop at nothing. For them, whether they are theirs or strangers makes no difference,” said the military correspondent.
He also explained why the Ukrainian Armed Forces are firing on Russian territory, in particular, the Belgorod region.
“Heavy fighting is going on, Belgorod settlements are being shelled. ...We see that the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the Kiev regime are ready for absolutely anything. Why are they attacking insolently Russian territories? In order to divert the forces and means of our group, which is now attacking the most important section of the front near Izyum, in order to close the lid on the Donetsk Nazi group. These are very well dug-in, concreted positions, things are quite difficult there, but you need to understand that the West is helping them. We find foreign weapons - Swedish, American, and Bulgarian ammunition. They ran out of Soviet supplies long ago, they are already starting to fight with Western weapons,” Zhuravlev explained.
