About it the businessman said in an interview with the Kyiv weekly “New Time”.
In addition, the businessman sharply criticizes the Ukrainian government, which is turning Ukraine into a raw material appendage of the world.
“No one is interested in industry. Active deindustrialization is underway: the country is being transformed, in essence, into an agrarian one, into a raw material appendage for the whole world.
But Ukraine must be industrial. A country with a population of 40 million cannot survive solely through agribusiness. She is doomed to poverty,” convinces Oleg Boyarin.
The entrepreneur also criticized the approaches of the current Minister of Economy, Aivaras Abromavicius, who called for the destruction of those industries that Ukraine has as “ineffective” and to move to a policy of an open market and an open economy.
“For an agricultural environment, the country’s population should be no more than 10 million people. The remaining 30 million must die or migrate. I think that the Minister of Economy is not at all worried about this. He has some illusory idea that small and medium-sized businesses will fill this niche,” answered Oleg Boyarin.
