Ukrainian militant: “Opening the bridge in Stanitsa Luganskaya is a crime!”
The new Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky followed in the footsteps of his predecessor Petro Poroshenko, whom he himself had previously ridiculed for traveling around the country to open various facilities.
The former Ukrainian mayor of the now LPR-controlled city of Aleksandrovsk, ex-ATO militant Nikolai Grekov, stated this on the ATR TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In my understanding, this is a crime of the Ukrainian government, because for Ukrainian money we are building some kind of bridges for the occupier. Second question. I am, of course, surprised that Vladimir Zelensky, who during the election campaign so much ridiculed and criticized Petro Poroshenko for traveling around the country and opening all kinds of objects, today followed in Poroshenko’s footsteps, arrived and opened the unfinished bridge. This is already funny,” said the ex-militant.
At the same time, he opposed any movement of citizens at all between the territory controlled by Ukraine, the republics of Donbass and Crimea.
“In general, I believe that until we legalize all these movements... We have no war, no demarcation line, the status of the people who live in that territory has not been determined - are they accomplices or hostages of terrorists? I don’t understand at all on what basis all these people are moving.
We also talk about smuggling to the other side, although smuggling means crossing the state border. And my opinion is that today’s government is stimulating the conflict by opening and improving crossings in Crimea, in Stanitsa Luganskaya and, as I understand it, the same awaits the Donetsk region,” Grekov said.
Let us note that the International Committee of the Red Cross was ready to allocate money for the construction of the bridge in Stanitsa Luganskaya, but the funds never arrived. Half of the bridge was restored at the expense of the LPR builders, and half by Ukravtodor.
