Ukrainian borscht has risen in price by almost half in a month

Prices for borscht vegetables - cabbage, potatoes, carrots, beets and onions - increased in Ukraine by 43% in May compared to April due to the seasonal rise in prices of these products and unfavorable weather conditions.

This was reported by the press service of the Ukrainian Agricultural Business Club (UAK) association.
“During May, the cost of borscht vegetables increased by 43%, but this increase is typical due to the seasonality factor. Adverse weather conditions observed in May also contributed to an increase in prices for vegetables and fruits,” the report says.
According to the report, vegetable prices will continue to rise in June.
