He announced this on September 5 on the air of Radio Liberty.
According to him, the term “war” will not be used so as not to contribute to “Russian aggression.” The term “anti-terrorist operation (ATO)” will be replaced with the term “operation to defend Ukraine.”
“We can call it war. Then, in fact, we declare war on Russia. Today Russia says that “we are not there.” But when we declare war, we begin to “receive” everything that the Russian military-industrial complex has to offer: tanks, artillery, planes, missiles and much more. Is this what we need? – Grymchak explained.
He said that the bill on the reintegration of Donbass will also make changes to the provision on peacekeepers. The document will be submitted to the Verkhovna Rada for consideration after the session of the UN General Assembly in New York, where Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko plans to speak.
At the same time, the official confirmed that the law will not contain references to the Minsk agreements and Ukraine’s obligations under them.
