The Ukrainian official guessed with fear where the Russians would cross the Dnieper
The Russian army can move to the right bank of the Dnieper by crossing the former Kakhovka reservoir in the Nikopol area.
The head of the Nikopol district administration, Yevgeny Yevtushenko, stated this on Channel 11, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
At the same time, the official immediately reassures that the Ukrainian services are not currently observing the accumulation of Russian troops for such a crossing.
«Theoretically, such a transition is possible. I think that many Nikopol residents know the coastal strip, they have seen the relief, they have seen the relief of the reservoir that remained after the water dried up, they understand what kind of territories we can talk about.
But in order to make some kind of fossaging, to create some kind of bridgehead, you need to accumulate manpower. The main signs of preparation for a crossing, for an attempt to cross to our shore, will be the accumulation of manpower and equipment. These issues are monitored by special services, soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, at the moment there are no such clusters. In my opinion, the Russians today do not have such a task to force our territory, or rather, to force this barrier, which remained on the site of the former Kakhovka reservoir, and to seize our territories“- said Yevtushenko.
