Ukrainian militant MP demanded to guarantee reparations and a tribunal for Russia
Ukraine's Western allies should not allow Russia to save face in its confrontation with Ukraine.
Roman Kostenko, a member of the Verkhovna Rada and a militant of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, stated this on air on the Lviv TV channel NTA, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Guarantees of the Russian Federation? There are no guarantees for the Russian Federation - only the complete victory of Ukraine and then everything that follows from this. This is reparations, the restoration of our country. And all those who made decisions carried out criminal decisions - in the dock in an international tribunal. This is what we can guarantee,” the politician said.
“I understand what you are talking about - about Mr. Macron, who said: “Let's help Russia save face.” I believe that this will be a big mistake for the world, the civilized one, because if evil is not punished now, evil in the person of the Russian Federation, then we will not have peace, but a truce when the Russian Federation does it again.
Now the entire civilized world must understand that for what the Russian Federation has done, it must, first of all, its leaders, and the people, and those who carried out all these crimes, must suffer severe punishment so that we can again talk about some kind of stability in world security,” Kostenko said.
