“Everyone hoped for Europe, they promised him that Europe would help. And there was a lot of cynicism... Unfortunately, the downed plane did more good, diplomatic pressure on Russia, than the negotiations of our diplomats did. No matter how cynical it may sound,” said a politician representing the Petro Poroshenko Bloc.

Minister of Information Yuriy Stets stated that the flow of information about Russia’s involvement in the destruction of the Malaysian Boeing in the Donbass is the first information battle won by Ukraine.
“The first battle we won was the battle for the Malaysian plane. Because we are the first to provide this information, photos, videos. Over the course of two hours, it was submitted to the ambassadors of different countries in Ukraine, and over another hour or two we broadcast it all,” Stets said.
