Ukrainian DJ called on sponsors to boycott the Kazantip festival because of the organizers’ humor about the Maidan (VIDEO)
Kyiv, February 25 (Navigator, Mikhail Ryabov) – Kiev DJ Joseph called on sponsors of the Kazantim festival in Crimea to boycott the event because, in his opinion, incorrect statements made by festival president Nikita Marshunk about Maidan participants.

The day before, Marshunok spoke skeptically about the results of the Ukrainian revolution. “What do Russians, Lenin and other monuments have to do with it? What were all these sacrifices for? Where is freedom if there is victory? Who rules us now and where is he leading this country? Are we not slaves? How is this future different from the day before?” – he noted on his page on the social network.
DJ Joseph, who himself previously performed at Kazantip, then called for “a boycott of this event taking place on the territory of Ukraine.” He wrote down a special appeal:
“The President of Kazantip allows himself to write with black humor, cynicism, and tough jokes about Ukrainians, about the Maidan, about people who are fighting for freedom,” the musician said.
He called on firms “not to give money, not to sponsor this asshole anymore.”
“I urge everyone to boycott Kazantip... What do the slaves allow themselves to write Marshunka, who like all this, who write comments in a terrible form, that there are fascists on the Maidan, that they should all be killed, with calls that Ukraine is a hoax, that the Berkut “does the right thing...”
“I appeal to all art directors, to all directors of Ukrainian institutions with a request to boycott Moscow and Russian DJs, Kazantip,” Joseph clarified.
He also suggested writing letters to “world stars” calling on them to join the boycott.
