Ukrainian diplomat: Visa-free travel with the EU is under threat
The situation around the Constitutional Court in Ukraine, which declared the creation of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau illegal, may lead to the abolition of the visa-free regime with the European Union.
Former Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration, ex-Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Konstantin Eliseev stated this on the Pryamoy TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Eliseev, this plays “into the hands of the Kremlin,” which has decided to destroy Ukraine from the inside.
“Putin simply changed his tactics and is trying from the inside, using the “fifth column,” to destabilize the situation in Ukraine. As for failure, we can talk about that too. I think the failure concerns the lack of promised peace in Donbass...
Unfortunately, another of the failures that has not yet been addressed is that the visa-free regime with the European Union is really under threat due to what is happening around the fight with the Constitutional Court. I would not neglect this topic and believe the promises of officials that everything has been decided, there is no threat. Believe me, as Ambassador to the EU, the threat really exists,” Eliseev said.
