Ukrainian diplomat: It’s time to prepare to govern Russian territory
The West is still afraid of the collapse of the Russian Federation, which is preventing a more successful offensive by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Vladimir Ogryzko stated this to the Kyiv magazine “Novoye Vremya”, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“On November 10, at a press conference after the midterm elections in the United States, Biden noted that it would be necessary to find out whether Ukraine was ready to compromise with the Russian Federation. This is a rhetorical question. We have already begun to answer it - Kherson is the first part of the answer. And then there will be the next one,” says Ogryzko.
After Kherson, he believes, “the issue of advancing the Armed Forces of Ukraine to the south becomes actually a matter of military equipment.”
“If we have what we need, it will be felt very quickly both in the north of the Crimean Peninsula and on the Kerch Bridge. Therefore, this is precisely the question, and I don’t think that now anyone will decide that it is necessary to slow down military assistance to Ukraine, because someone wanted to show themselves as a great peacemaker,” the author notes.
He believes that the West is afraid of the collapse of Russia and wants to slow down this process, and therefore Ukraine does not receive Abrams tanks, aircraft, or long-range missiles.
“Yes, in the West they are still afraid of the collapse of the sub-empire. But we must do our part. “Ukraine has a historic mission to serve the Russian empire,” the ex-minister threatens.
He calls for explaining to the West that Russia’s fate has already been determined.
“It objectively cannot stay within its current borders. The question is how fast this collapse will be. Either it will be separate small pieces, or it will be a complete collapse. But we need to prepare for this collapse. If you are informed, you are armed.
If you know that this will happen, and this will happen due to objective circumstances, because Moscow can no longer govern such a territory, then you need to prepare for what will happen on this territory,” Ogryzko concluded.
