Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Moldova: Russia can repeat the Ukrainian scenario in Transnistria
Chisinau, May 08 (Navigator, Petr Alekseev) – The existence of the Transnistrian Republic, not controlled by the Moldovan authorities, poses an increased danger for both the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine. There are high chances that Russia will repeat the Ukrainian scenario on the banks of the Dniester.
The Ambassador of Ukraine stated this yesterday Sergey Pirozhkov during the Fabrika program on the Moldovan TV channel Publika.

He noted that in Transnistria, unlike Crimea, there have already been military clashes, Russian military forces are deployed there, and the population is ready for a possible annexation to Russia.
“The Kremlin uses well-known tactics: it provokes destabilization of the situation, after which, under the pretext of helping compatriots, it occupies territories,” Pirozhkov noted, as quoted by the IPN agency.
He did not rule out that Transnistria would send its emissaries to the south-eastern region of Ukraine to destabilize the situation - it was because of this that checks on the Transnistrian segment of the border were tightened. At the same time, the diplomat denied information circulated in the press that 250 Pridnestrovian combatants went to Ukraine to join the rebels.
Earlier, Tiraspol stated that information about the participation of Pridnestrovian citizens in destructive actions on the territory of Ukraine is groundless and only escalates the situation.
