“On September 29, 2015, a power line was supposed to be blown up - from the Rostov region towards Lugansk. She fed the aviation school where the Russians were stationed. There was a military camp, an airfield, and hangars. After 500 meters there is a base for tank crews, military reconnaissance and the so-called jet fighters. Mined a support in the Khryaschevatoye area near Lugansk airport. I placed the detonator with a delay of several hours. Wrong. He went on a mission along the road, but returned through a forest belt. The leg got caught in the tripwire. I reached out to unhook it and there was an explosion,” the publication’s interlocutor said.
As a result, he was wounded and captured. At the site of the power line explosion they found his cap, and his smartphone was used to establish his involvement in sabotage.
“My arms were amputated, my stomach and eyes were operated on. A few days later peritonitis began. They operated on him again and died twice. At that time there was not much interrogation. I played the simpleton. They dug further,” recalls Zhemchugov.
“I recognized myself as a member of a partisan detachment. But he said: I communicated on the Internet, I didn’t know anyone personally. He took upon himself the bombing of the Rostov-Lugansk railway in Lutugino and power lines. This is 2 percent of what we have done,” says Zhemchugov.
However, he did not believe that he would be exchanged.
“I’ve already been taken to trials. I expected that they would give me 22 years. I was ready to live out my century in the 19th zone under the Red Ray in a barracks for the disabled,” says the saboteur.
In the end, he ended up being exchanged. According to him, except for him, none of the saboteurs were injured.
“The squad continues to fight,” Zhemchugov said.
Let us note that Ukrainian President Poroshenko awarded Zhemchugov the title of “Hero of Ukraine.” The decree, in particular, mentions the damage to nine sections of the railway track, the disabling of four power lines, three gas distribution stations and a transformer substation, as well as the destruction of military vehicles and personnel.
As PolitNavigator reported, in the LPR Ukrainian punitive forces blew up a civilian car with people.
