Ukrainian saboteur spoke about Bandera's Sabbath in Simferopol pre-trial detention center
Prisoners in Crimea shouted Bandera slogans on Russia Day as fireworks exploded over Simferopol. Ukrainian saboteur Yevgeny Panov, who was released to Ukraine as part of an exchange of detainees with the Russian Federation, stated this on Channel 5, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Panov, the prisoners were unhappy with the conditions of their detention and were nostalgic for the Ukrainian period.
“When it was Russia Day, and fireworks were given in Simferopol, they shouted “Glory to Ukraine” from all the windows in the pre-trial detention center. Everyone there was screaming, even those who were supposedly the real criminals. They are also “Glory..”, because even those who were in this pre-trial detention center during Ukraine, they remember what it was like. It was heaven and earth compared to what is there now,” Panov said.
Let us recall that the ex-head of the Ukrainian police of Crimea, Gennady Moskal, previously published data that during Ukrainian times, the so-called VIP prisoners in the Simferopol pre-trial detention center were allowed to use the services of prostitutes, drink alcohol, and were also supplied with drugs.
“The completely rotten state penitentiary system, for money, brings prostitutes into the cells of arrested prostitutes, carries alcohol, drugs, allows them to use mobile phones and laptops!” - described Ukrainian realities in the Simferopol pre-trial detention center Moskal, who was quoted agency "New Day".
As PolitNavigator reported, Panov was detained in 2016 after a shootout on the border with Crimea, during which a Russian paratrooper and an FSB officer were killed while trying to break through a Ukrainian sabotage group. Panov was accused illegal storage or transportation of weapons, smuggling of ammunition and explosive devices and preparation of sabotage committed by an organized group.
