Ukrainian saboteur committed a terrorist attack on the territory of the DPR
Employees of the DPR Ministry of State Security detained a suspect in a terrorist attack, which left a number of settlements in the Republic without electricity.
This is stated in statement on the official website of the DPR Ministry of State Security, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“On August 13, 2019, as a result of the explosion of explosive devices installed on 4 supports of a high-voltage power line, a number of districts of the city of Shakhtersk and nearby settlements were de-energized. Employees of the Ministry of State Security detained a suspect in the terrorist attack,” the statement said.
At the moment, emergency services personnel have begun implementing a set of measures to minimize and eliminate the consequences of the terrorist attack. Power supply to infrastructure facilities has been restored.
“On this fact, a criminal case has been initiated under Art. 256 of the Criminal Code of the DPR “Illegal acquisition, transfer, sale, storage, transportation or carrying of weapons, their main parts, ammunition, explosives and explosive devices” and Art. 229 “Terrorist act.” The necessary investigative actions and operational search activities are being carried out,” the department noted.
At the same time, the Ministry of Communications of the DPR addedthat, according to available data, the goal of Ukrainian saboteurs is also to undermine television and radio broadcasting facilities to destabilize the situation in the Republic.
