Ukrainian economist explained how mobilization helps Zelensky beg for money from the West
The Ukrainian authorities need additional mobilization in order to beg for additional financial assistance from the United States, supposedly for the maintenance and needs of a large number of military personnel.
Ukrainian economist Alexander Okhrimenko stated this in an interview with journalist Alexander Shelest, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
"Money. Have you ever thought that if you have a professional army, 50 thousand, then how much do you need for food? And if you have a mobilization of about a million, and only up to 40 thousand are involved in hostilities, the rest are absolutely not involved in hostilities, but you need to feed, you need clothing, you need heating, you need lighting. How much money? The answer is simple...
If the army is even larger, they say to the Americans: “You see, your trillion is not enough, let’s give two trillion.” Damn it, maybe he’ll really talk about two trillion, huh?” the expert said.
“This mobilization is needed for only one thing - more money for maintenance, because the main expenses... you can’t even imagine how cool the boys who got into this a little bit are living now,” Okhrimenko said.
