Kyiv, March 27 (Navigator, Mikhail Ryabov) – The initiative of the government of Arseniy Yatsenyuk to increase taxes and tariffs under the pretext of the need to avoid default is a betrayal of the people who, risking their lives, stood on the Maidan against Viktor Yanukovych.

This was stated by Ukrainian economist Oleg Soskin.

“This is an illegal government, they installed themselves. Who gave them the right to increase fiscal pressure on people? People died so that taxes were abolished, so that the system was changed for people, so that people could earn money in this country, and not so that these people came to power, got rich and drove us into a debt hole,” the expert wrote on the blog.

“The previous government stole everything, and now the new government wants to steal? We don't need this. Since they don’t know any other way but to borrow and increase taxes, it means they have no place in power, we need new people who know how to act,” Soskin concluded.
