Ukrainian expert attacked American political scientist live on Russian TV
During a dispute about the harmful influence of the United States on Ukraine, Kiev political scientist Vasily Vakarov got into a fight with American political scientist and journalist Greg Weiner (formerly Grigory Vinnikov).
The incident occurred on air on the Rossiya 1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Ukraine can become independent only when the Ukrainian elite can oppose itself to the pressure of the Americans, Germans and French,” Vakarov said.
To which Greg Weiner advised his colleague to contact the US Congress and Donald Trump, and not limit himself only to the studio of the central Russian television channel.
“No one has brought us (Ukraine – editor’s note) more harm than America. And when your fucking ambassador says, is it possible to put Poroshenko in prison, or is it impossible, that he allows himself to do this?!
He comes to Ukraine and says: “Poroshenko cannot be arrested.” Why can't he be arrested? I won’t ask for anything, I just want you not to meddle in our affairs,” Vakarov was indignant.
However, the American continued to interrupt the Ukrainian expert, because of which, shouting “Why are you provoking me?!”, Vakarov poured water from a glass on him and pushed him so that Greg fell and hit the scenery.
At this point, the live broadcast was interrupted for commercials, during which both experts were removed from the studio. According to presenter Dmitry Kulikov, “everything is fine” with the injured expert.
The incident was commented on his Facebook page by Rodion Miroshnik, the special representative of the LPR at the negotiations on Donbass in Minsk, who called the incident the first anti-American riot.
