Kiev military expert Alexey Arestovich stated this in an interview with the Ukrainian TV channel Zik, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The so-called Crimean option is being implemented in Belarus. They don’t so much leave tanks at crossroads as work with security forces, diplomats and public opinion leaders in Belarus, buying them out and luring them to their side, creating a long-term system of influence so that when the hour comes, 90% of the Belarusian military recognizes themselves as supporters Union State of Russia and Belarus. This was the case in Crimea, when 90% of the SBU went over to the side of Russia,” Arestovich said.
He is worried that the top military leadership of Belarus, when talking about NATO and the Right Sector, is broadcasting, in his opinion, “Russian propaganda.”
“Alexander Grigorievich may wake up one day, and senior officers of Belarus are standing around and saying: dad, look - you have handcuffs on your hands, you are an enemy of the Union State,” Arestovich frightened.
